Do you make up whole pipesections to customer's design? Can you get stainlesss mandrel bends much more than 90 degrees?

I can vouch for the quality of your stuff Fin, those mandrel bends are excellent. For anyone who hasn`t seen a mandrel-bent pipe, you don`t get any of the "crimping" of the pipe like you usually do with a pipe-bender, the mandrel-bent pipes are a consistent diameter all through, no reduction in size at all. Good for gas-flow

Stainless steel is easily welded with a normal MIG welder as well, I used standard mild-steel wire, the weld will rust, but not a problem, I painted the welded area where I joined the stainless to a mild-steel flange with heat-proof black paint, it`s outa sight anyway.

Ideal for intercooler projects too

Westy Joker, do you use an Argon C02 mix on the stainless or stick with straight C02 gas?

Straight CO2 pubgas Harry, works a treat

Done a lot of stainless steel welding repairs in the past using plain steel wire and CO2 with no probs. (welds rust but that`s it)

Can you get s/s wire for the MIG though anywhere? Or a wire producing a MIG weld that won't rust?

stainless mig wire is widely available as is ally mig wire in .8 size and various spool sizes

pop into your local mig supplier, it's much the same price as normal fluxed wire

Will look into that, TIG's are normally an arm and a leg... but quite fancy a go as used to do a lot of gas welding. Hence MIG doesn't come too naturally, but getting the swing of it - slowly

Scrwfix not showing TIGs at the moment, their web catalog seems pretty flaky too... maybe a bad time of the month/year

Friend has big TIG, but need the bottle, Argon, he doesn't want a hire contract either, can TIG be used with hobby bottles?

the stuff of wet dreams lol has just been deliverd mmmmmmmmmmmmm didnt realise just how thick walled the pipe is and just how thin the old one is in comparison! cheers to dynoflow lived up to his promise of being here today cheers pal just got to make the new exhaust!!!!!

as you can see in the pick thats roughly how its gonna go but with a ballance pipe just before it does 180 to the back boxes just hope that having the lambda sensor on one side is ok !!!!!!!!
oh and i gonna make the tips from the stainless pipe just slash cut it and polish it up mm!!!!
