Si, they're basically just a bit of angle iron with a shaped flat piece of reinforced rubber rivetted to it aren't they.

As I assume this wouldn't be a profit-making venture, howsabout just publishing the dimensions to permit those who are interested make 'em up as required ?

Andy, Si,

I came across a template last night by pure fluke on a German website I check-out regularly, see here.

A close-up picture of the guards is here.

The VW workshop fitting guide is here.

Nice one Andy
the shape is pretty simple.. then.. not seen a "new" one to see how they did it..
I have the metal brackets all done (just need small tweaking to get exact fit) they are in mild steel, finished item would be powder coated or possibly in stainless..

Out of interest.

Are they still supplied by VW and if so - how much?

The part numbers are:

Left - 251 407 405
Right - 251 407 406

Dunno if they're deleted yet or what is the price. Any volunteers to ask their local dealer ?

ETOS says £82.71 (+VAT) each, don't know whether they're still available!
