side panel thingy question

Post by bigbluebus »

daft question alert . .

anyone know what that panel over the slding door mechanism is called? Is held on with 2 screws? (is the one below rear side window on the pic)

Are they 'handed' cos I need one for a LHD

And more importantly where can I get a new one from?

Have checked schofield & JK

I've removed loads of these but I can't remember if they're handed

Reckon it'd get to me in post by next Friday if I send you a cheque? Having me storm damage fixed next week so need to gather some bits together

side panel

Post by cumbriankeith »

I take it you are after one for the right side? The handed panels are fitted on both sides either LHD or RHD - it's just that there's more to cover up and go wrong on the side that the door is.
I've got a good straight one (with just a tiny bit of superficial rust) for the left side if any one needs one...

isn't one fitted on n/s on a LHD, it's a full panel all way up window (unless it's twin slider)

it's an o/s as in picture I'm after. £85 flaming quid? Bodyshop can straighten mine for that money ha ha ha

T'onion? Fancy posting one?

Sorry, then I stand corrected. I made a wrong assumption based on my camper, converted from a van has them on both sides.
