16" Merc Alloys

Post by normandybrit »

I've picked up a set of 16" Mercedes fivespokes to fit onto my '90 hitop. I'd like to fit some 'chunky' tyres to try to give (at least) some grip on anything that's not tarmac. Does anyone know the larges profile tyres that will fit without hitting the trailing arms (or anything else)?

the largest tyre will be 215/60 x 16 any bigger and the speedo will be inacurate and the gearing will be lowered so much that you'll be changing down for any slight gradient*

If they are merc ml's I fitted these with longer studs and 10 mm spacers with pirrelli P6 van tyres

*unless it's a syncro

Theres a tye size calculator in the wiki
