square headlights

is it possible to convert a round headlamp t25 to square headlamps? if it is,is it a straight forward job or is it difficult and not worth the hassle......thanks.

It is fairly easy, but very expensive.. if its better light output you are looking for then see the thread about headlamps and wiring upgrades, also there is info about the upgrades in the "wiki"...

costs a fair bit VW prices its about £250+ second hand prices seem quite strong as well. I think there is smore minor wiring change, but you also need to get brakets, lights and grill. Not worth it IMHO unless you get the lot cheaply. you can upgrade the round lights to make them brighter Brickyard does a relay upgrade kit.

I believe the square lights are Scirroco MK2 lights if anyone could confirm that. But you would still need the grill. Occasionally twin round light grills appear on Ebay, which I think are South African ones. They didn't (from memory) go for anywhere near £250.

Main headlamps are T25 only.. the inners can be made to fit but brackets would still be needed..

I have a set of Square Headlamps - LHD though (with beam benders). I have both inner and outer lamps and the brackets all that is needed is 2 small brackets, a square headlamp grill - (still available from VW for £70 ish but come up on here/brick-yard and ebay for less) and one nylon adjusting thingy.
