2.1i MPG?

Post by colouredFunk »

Hey, I'm going to be getting a 2.1i engine fitted in my bus soon.

What sort of MPG can I expect? Better or worse than my 1.9 DG?

I have an auto 1990 2.1 hightop which gets about 18 mpg. I have had LPG fitted - so far about 15 mpg - further adjustments to be made. Manual gets more.

2.1 is normally more economical that 1.9, esp if you keep the carb instead of the FI

MPG

Post by Rooster »

Over the last 2 years I have usualy got between 20 and 22.5 mpg. on LPG
The van is a 2.1 gli caravelle manual gbox tintop kitted out as a camper.

Pulling our 900kg caravan I get ~17 mpg on LPG

Steve fitted an open loop system and its been perfect.
Hope this helps. -
