I'm gonna have a go at laying this laminate flooring in the van this weekend hopefully. I'm probably going to put a 12v submersible pump for my tap in the side unit at the side of the bench seat. I haven't bought the pump yet, so I'm thinking I should run some wire underneath the floor for when i do wire it up. Can anyone tell me what type of wire I should get?
I can go to maplin tommorow and get the wire, but electrics aren't my thing so wondered if there is something specific I should ask for?
thanks in advance,
Kathy

Youi need to know the amp rate of the pump (how much current it pulls)and get a wire rated higher than it. This ensures a safe and appropriate circuit. Have a look at it, theres probably a marking on the pump saying 12v30a or something.
I'm sure one of the tech bods (Mocki?) here might know which rating you need off the top of their heads.

Hi Kathy
Any of the two cables will do just fine. If you have a Zig unit you can connect it as below, if not red to a live and black to earth.
I found my laminate very cold. So took it up and have put some old campermats the £3 ones underneath what a dif it makes. also clears the hole for the table much better.
