Reverse light switch

Post by mark206000 »

Hi :D

It's MOT time and all those little things that didn't really matter suddenly do :x

First up, no reverse light. Been under having a look about and noticed that no wires are connected to the switch on the gearbox.

Tested the switch and it seems to be working ok. Any know how this is wired ?

I'm guessing it gets a live from somewhere to the switch then onto the light itself. Any live in particular or will anything do ?

Thanks, Mark :)

The wires will be there somewhere, however, as Bob say's this isn't an MOT fail .... it is handy to have them working though !

On our's (5 speed) the switch stopped working too, took it off and cleaned the contacts up,soaked it in WD et voila.

Is it the same for N.Ireland I wonder ?

The MOT centers over here are government run places :?

I'll have a wiggle with it anyway, give them nothing to fail me on !
