Speedo is kaput!

Post by purplechugster »

My speedo died months ago - Ive more or less got used to it now

But in a fit of enthusiasm, tried to fix it (new cable), and that made no difference and now my friendly local bus mechanic (thats actual buses, as in double deckers, not as in VWs) has had a look and says its the speedo head :?

So... the question.... How much of the speedo unit do I need to replace?
And is it tricky?

And lastly, any idea where I can get hold of the right parts? - cant find speedo's on JK
One T25 in London, another one in Sydney.

the chances are you will have to buy a complete dashpod off one of the breakers ie andyvan or syncrospares.you should get one for 30/40 quid.

I managed to swap just the Speedo over on mine, as the Westy had KM and a Tacho, so I just swapped the MPH unit onto it.

Although like Rob says - it'll be just as good to get a complete one from a breaker...

Syncronutz
Andyvan
Syncrospares
