Top End Engine Rebuild

Post by mr_bricolage »

Head gaskets have gone and I am preparing for removing the engine and gearbox (got a spare gearbox to go in). The motor I am pretty sure is an MV. Is this going to cause me any problems as I was thinking of doing the pistons and barrels at the same time and this country seems to be mainly DJ motors.

I think MV and DJ are the same mechanically (2.1 injection) just the ancilliaries are different.

different internals - pistons and camshaft. MV is lower compression than DJ - but parts are available with a bit of searching.
