i bought a 'how to' type 4 engine strip and rebuild dvd. best 20quid spent. i have now stripped my 2ltr type4 Aircooled, easy, just got to source new parts and rebuild. there might be a dvd for your engine, i got it from a guy from here or just kampers (bug me videos)(vw- diy)

Well it wasnt siezed if it was turning. What was wrong with it anyway, or did you find out after you stripped it?
