Fer, Fer, Fer, Fer, Ferkin Fanbelts,,,,,,

Post by Fritz »

OK then in our case they are known as drive belts rather than anything more specific, and for this lecture I am refering to the belt fitted to the 1.9 DG petrol engine (1985/6) :D

I have found a spare belt in the cubby hole just inside the rear hatch which has the overall length of 1075mm, I find this wont fit my set up unless I fully remove the adjusting bolt on the adjusting bracket. :o

I have since tried to get hold of another from a local factors, who also tell me the one listed is the one with the 1075mm length , this is not what I want. :(

JK also suggests the one for my vehicle should be the 1075mm, but I disagree the one I need is a 1080mm, which I have since found to be the correct one for the job,,,,,

Anyone else noticed this error,,,,,,,,,,,,,,where can I get a 1080 from ?

Regards
