What alloys fit ? without being an engineer

Post by sherlock »

Hi all, Im new so go easy on me if I ask any dumb arsed ????s Im looking at fitting a set of alloys on my t25 camper. It's in the throws of being lowered (about 60mm) what im after is a nice cheapish set of alloys that look good and I dont need to take night classes in wheel fitting to put on. (not asking to much then) im told ford granada ones go on without messing but could be wrong. All I see on forums is things like will my tyres rub and lots of tech stuff (give it to me in easy form)Any help and I will get you a nice cold pint on a summers day, what more can a man ask (no need to answer that) thanks all. Sherlock

i think the ford granada wheels will fit but you will have to make the stud holes a bit bigger, same goes as the ford probe wheels

hello mate

I have the 5 spoke scorpio cosworth wheels, you need a set of extended studs for the rear and thats it. Can find a set on ebay quite cheap, only problem is the center caps will not fit over the extended studs, i have just learnt to live with that

Hey Sherlock - watching this thread with interest...

Let us know what you had to buy / have done to actually complete fitting them ?

If it's a case of "get some bolts and tires and away you go" - I will be getting a set too !!
Got a new van, but it's a 165bhp T4 [shock horror] Accurate LPG Station map here

i got slightly oversized profiles on mine

i will get the details and confirm the sizes for you mate as can't remeber off the top of my head

you will need to remove the studs from the rear hub and purchase a set of extended studs, i got mine from brickwerks for £20. its an easy enough job to change the studs

Cheers Dev your a top bloke, I still need to get the a*** end down. That may be a case of front donuts as stated or rear 60mm springs. Will these new wheels when fitted rub or bang on the arches (hope not) does it effect the handling with profiles ? thanks again Dev. Sherlock. ??????? so many ??????S

P.S Ghost, I will keep you posted on my progress.
