throttle return spring? help

Post by robintb »

anybody know where I can find a replacement throttle return spring for a 2.0 Aircooled CU engine?

tried, justkampers, megabug, volksheaven, vw.

throttle cable just gets caught on the front of the engine bay as it goes through the hole and the old spring has lost its springyness.

any help gratefully received

You can get packs of assorted springs from hardware shops - I did when I needed just the spring that you need - I think I had to shorten the biggest one in the pack and it was then spot on. Pack only cost a couple of quid and you end up with a load of other springs for other misc purposes in the future...
