tep sensor

can anybody tell me what the sensor on the other side of the inlet where the temp/sender sits .... it has a red/yellow wire to it as dose the temp/sender sensor?? on turbo diesel 1.6 jx...cheers all

one is for the glow plugs tother is for the aux water pump
