Post by ozzy »

I know this should be in tech but i think it will be viewed more on here .My Daughter wants some hoses and they seem to be as rare as rocking horse sh 1 t she has posted the following on tech......can any one help me find some hoses for my bus before i resort to my nearest main dealer!

Ive only just brought it (im a newbie) and the buffoon who had it before me tightened up the hose clips so much it sheared staright through!

i think the part no. are

025121058a (reducing pipe from top of resevoir to steel pipe)
025121060 (reducing pipe from steel to block)
0251210538 (pipe from thermostat housing to steel pipe)

ive tried all the usual places i could think of with no look

Hose parts

Post by sjhamstead »

Give GSF a try the two branches close to me are both very helpful and can normally steer me in the right direction if they dont stock it. Their prices are better than dealer's as well

86 should be late cooling system, but if its early (thermostat housing next to waterpump) then vw have deleted about half the hoses, so you need to get creative, straight pipes are easy enough

you can get a multitude of hose bits from here:
