Winter Lay up

Post by David Last »

Hi all, I will be laying up the trusty Komet at the end of the month and have never paid it special attention but its time to treat it with a little care, We are both getting older! I have been told treating the brake discs to prevent rust is a good start. What is the recomended treatement? and any other hints or tips welcome.
Cheers
Dave

id disconect your battery , treat the seams to a nice waxing, put a cover over it and if you can raise it off the ground on blocks. when you do start it again your petrol would have probably gone off so drain your carbs and put some fresh stuff in the tanks.
