can you rotate the water pump by hand as when these fail they tend to seize
or the bearings and seals go and water leaks out which is usualy pretty obvious, sound more like blockage or air lock somewhere.
No water circulation?

interesting problem
The radiators of these vans have tiny tubes and do block easily, especially if some idiot has put rad weld in.
Airlocks?, is it bled properly.
Can th erad cope with cooling the engine you have fitted, withot additional help.
It must be all trial and whatever, but seems a hard way to go about motoring(IMHO)
I prefer to get the motor designed for it!

Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see.

JUst a thought-------the water in the T25 cooling system has to circulate in the correct direction--is it possible you have got it the wrong way round?---
I'd put my money on this one...

Driving the Pug engines till they over heat will kill it every time... unless you like changing heads and gaskets.. avoid heating it up too much...
I would check the water pump... could be a cheapo one and has lost its baldes.. funnily enough, no blades doesnt circulate the water... its the only thing you havent physically checked.. so I would have a look...
If its using water then it must be coming out somewhere.. also you need to run the engine with a good few rpm and warming up from cold to bleed the rad.. they hold a lot of water...
