Hi Max,
you keep finding these interesting bits `n pieces
If they are fag lighter size, then I would think they have been added by previous owner so he could plug stuff in. They arn`t standard, the Westy has the small Westfalia plug in the dash, silver hole.
I can get the correct OE plugs for that socket if you want to plug anything into that, the plug then just wires to whatever you want to run like a cig. plug normally does. You can also wire one of the Westy plugs to a standard fag socket on a flying lead so you plug your fone charger or suchlike into it, and position it away from the dash, will reach into the glove box if needed. PM me if you want any plugs or flying leads with plug and socket already wired.
They are OE German ones.

Keep it real.

it will be a "hella" socket ( although bosch make them too), sometimes called a "Euroline socket and is a aux power outlet, most westys have them, and they are 100 times better than the cig lighter, which is designed as erm, well a cig lighter, not a power out let....

"Hella " sockets are normally 20 amp power handling, and dont get hot through poor connections like cig sockets.
You can buy the plugs that fit them from Altia or maplin
