Sump compatibility: 1.6n/a to 1.6TD

I've always believed that the sump on my engine would fit on to petrol GTi, 1.6TD etc. But now wondering if that's actually true. Can anyone tell me for sure? No sign of it on the Wiki.

They are the same shape and fit but the TD sump has a hole/fitting for the oil return for the turbo

not actually sure mate. I think someone like Mr Baxter or The Syncronutz boys would be able to answer that one - or Clive

Just down to drilling and tapping the sump from what I`ve read. Baxter does a pipe for it I believe.
