Fao Turbocomet, rounded sump plug

Post by bradcab »

Sorry to hi-jack thread,
Is it a long bolt type plug with a smaller thread on the end?
Did the plug need a seal ring?
Trying to find one for mine,

Help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hi There,

The sump plug came from VW and is indeed longer than the original. It has a 19mm hex head with a permenantly attached washer. I have also fitted a copper washer.

If you go to VW they're only about a pound, worth it if it looks like it will fit?
