front wheel dust cap removal

Post by Hacksawbob »

nearside, I have removed the circlip for the speedo, Haynes shows it popping off with minimal force, I can move it about 3mm with great effort, a mallet and a pry bar, do I keep going? tell me its not a screw thread!

Dust/grease cap on front hub

Snot a screw on! I use a claw hammer - usually before taking the wheel off as you have more to lever against - yours must be well stuck on if it hasn't budged with that persuasive action! Keep trying?
