Think you'll find its the main fuses for your "convenience" in the rear...

It is indeed the fuse box for the fridge/ waterpump and the rear Eberspacher heater. Should be 25 amp fuse for Eber, and 16amp fuse for the fridge/pump.

If the box looks fried, then replace it asap. I got one from JK that looks very similar, 4-way, has screw terminals (not spades) and also get the 4-way linking bar thing they sell for it. Uses standard ceramic type fuses. I did get a different new fuse box that uses modern blade fuses and tried that, but the quality was rubbish, and the fuses didn`t clip in tightly enough, the 25amp fuse kept unseating and the Eber would trip out. Sorted with the JK fuse box :)

Westy, just replaced it with JK its ok now was looking worn out!

Can you or someone tell me what charges the leisure battery?? is it the alternator? I know the alt/nator charges the main one.

My two lights over the sink have stopped and no lights on the water/battery panel. I took the leisure out and found some leakage in the battery compartment. Its been on charge for 15 hrs and my charger says its not still fully charged, I take it that means its fooked?? Its all in german the battery its a 45 ah one?????????????

Leisure battery should charge from the alty, through a split-charge relay and wiring.

It also charges on the Westy when you plug in your hook-up, there should be a black box under the rear seat/bed that buzzes when it`s hooked up.

15hrs may not be enough to charge it fully yet, depends on what charger you`re using. Is it a modern type that senses charge and switches to trickle when done? Leisure batteries need a special charger.

Westy battery moniter/water level moniter notorious for going t**s up. Will cost at least £60 for a new panel from Germany.

If the battery has been leaking then get the acid out of the battery-box asap, and neutralise with hot water and dry it out. New battery may be in order, see WIKI for what fits and what sizes etc.

i have that one...the instructions say it won't charge anything with less that 7.5 volts in, is it the same in your manual? what is the voltage accross the battery? i took my battery to a mechanic, with a big battery charger, and it did it fine. the charger works fine if you don't let the battery get too low. :)

Can not see that in mine about the 7.5v I have just got back from Manbat who said my german battery was not a leisure one but a normal car battery and it was well gone he said. I have bought a Varta Semi Traction 12v 60AH its not a leisure one, and its deep cycle.

My Tronic Instructions says ' Automatic car battery charging station for rechargable batteries from 1.2AH to 120AH

'This product has been designed for charging a variety of sla batteries as mainly used in cars, motorbikes and several other vehicles. They may be of types eg; Wet, Gel, AGM Their capacity ranges from 12v/1.2 AH to 12v/120AH'

Charger spec. looks OK mate. My Halfords charger sounds remarkably similar, but has another button for leisure batts as well, not sure what the difference is, but it works OK on my boat batt, which is a leisure batt.

Glad you`ve got to the bottom of the batt. problem, you may now be able to see if everything else works as it should, now you`ve got amps :)
