Sometime in the nearish future i should have some brackets being made up so that it's possible to mount one intended for a landy on a T3, Paddocks do one for a defender for around £80 so including brackets for a van we should be lookig at a max of £110-120.
If there's enough interest then i'll try to get things moving a bit faster

I was holding back on this one, but seeing as the thread is developing....
Syncro wheel carriers will be available very shortly from myself. The design is similar to the one pictured but improved in many respects. They will have the rose jointed hinges, powder coated and a very special heavy duty latching mechanism incorporating a gas strut. These will be the best!!!! I am in the process of having a batch of manufactured.

Also need to know whether the plan is to provide both left and right hand side carriers...
cheers,
Andrew

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape; If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
No worries Pete, i'm not trying to make any money out of this so it makes no difference to me if people want them or not. Are you planning on doing both left and right handed ones? The reason i started looking into it is that i want 1 for each side.
it's fairly easy to get hold of basic swing away wheel carriers for landies, all i'm looking at is adapting these for our use.
Andrew if you're handy with a welder i can give you some drawings for the brackets required once i've made sure all is ok with them, time scale wise, it depens on interest.

Allright Kev, ummm, no I'm probably the last person you'd want in charge of any welding equipment to be honest - thanks for the offer though mate!
Pete, I'll give ya a bell just now.
Cheers guys.

Well, that's put me in a quandary.
After umming and ahhing about the cost of the rear-mounted carriers, I convinced myself that the wheel was OK on the front and bought a bull bar off a mate for £50, intending to fabricate a wheel mounting on it. And now you come up with this!!!
It's decision time again... As a matter of interest, why do you want to get the wheel off the front Ray?

Cheers, Paul.
