PROPEX X1 Heater problems.

Post by mininut »

Help!!!! Can't seem to work out how to light my Propex X1. When I press the on/off button I can here the ignition clicking and the fan whirring. Also, I think it sounds like the gas ignites for a split second but then goes out. The red 'lockout' light comes on, not sure what that's for. I've had a look at the WIKI and it mentions a lack of pressure in the gas bottle, could this be the problem? Is that why the 'lockout' light is on?
Has anyone got a manual or instruction book for the X1 they could copy for me? I will obviously cover any costs invoved.
Many thanks. :?

Not sure if battery is fully charged. She's not been run for a couple of weeks. I'm using butane.

A propex is quite fussy about voltage and will shut down if it doesn't get 11.5 v or above.
the butane is fine but consider swapping to propane for the colder weather.
the gas solenoid in the propex stuggles with butane that is liquid (colder weather)

kevthrev,,,,,,,,, my van is a 1990 1.9DG Autohomes Kamper with a solid sided pop top. Took me ages to find a 'good' one. Found it on ebay in Wakefield. Not perfect but pretty good. 56k, full history from new (service, mot's, invoices etc). Got it because we love camping and we wanted to be the ones sat in the warm dry van while some other poor bugg*r wrestled with their tent on a wet and windy day :rofl :rollin
Didn't realise how good this forum really is. Great to know there is somebody out there to give advice and help. The WIKI is fab - the T25 bible maybe?
Anyway here's a piccie of me van, hope you like.Image

That a fine looking van you guys have.Image

Yes, I know we shouldn't laugh but when the weather takes a turn to the wet 'n windy our van is the snuggest thing.... we even leave the curtains open and put on the warmest looking lights...just rubbing it in

Keep an eye on the club trips and shows we're always at one of them it would be nice to put a face to the van :D
