Does any one know if its possible to replace the braided cable that goes between the two, and if so how ? Mine has completely rotted away and im guessing thats why she wont start any longer :cry:

Haven't done it myself and EKTA doesn't show it though it shows just about every other part but i would think if you bought a braided earth strap from your local motor factors cut it to length its do able, if you take it apart and have a look whats involved internally then decide if its feasable, if its knackered you can't make it any worse.

I think it involves soldering some pretty hefty connectors. Sholud be fairly easy but may need a big soldering iron 150w

Well, ive got a 100w soldering gun so will attack it today me thinks, like you said cant make it any worse, will let you know the outcome! Failing that its a new one! Thanks anyway guys :wink:
