Steering rack grease

Steering rack grease
I have to change one of the steering rack bellows and looking in the Haynes it says to lubricate the rack with special grease, some VW stuff only, nothing else. Is this the case, or is there some other stuff I can use? It also says to remove the steering rack to replace the bellows. I was just gonna take off the ball joint and slide the new one into place. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Grease for the rack
I've seen simple LB10 type grease used in the past but if It was my choice I would be using Graphite Grease before anything else , same stuff used in universal joints........
