spigot bearing...

Post by soapyjoe »

What is the correct way to install a new spigot bearing, with the rubber part at flywheel or gearbox end ? Old one was kaput when i took clutch off so couldnt really tell - only the shell remained, which i still have to find a way of getting out ! Many thanks

Rubber seal, theres no point sealing it to a blank end in the crank!
Seal goes towards gearbox!

Am i correct in thinking that the flywheel can stay on the engine to remove the spigot ? Just cant get the damn thing to move!
