eber b1lc Please help

Post by pouch »

Just bought a eberspacher heater off ebay, guy was helpful and labelled all of the wires.

The unit is complete apart from the switch.

The wires marked switch are my problem, there are 3 yellow, red & brown.

On the rest of the loom I have a live (red) and earth(brown) for the battery. The loom also connects through a control box.

When I check the wiki there is no info on the B1lc only the newer diesel models on the Eber site, all of these have 6 wires to a Thermostat or Rehostat.

Any idea what I have to connect these 3 wires to?
Before I buy a switch what do I connect to just test it?

Thanks, Martyn

red = +ve
brown = -ve

3 yellow = different heat settings, your need a 3way switch, or rheostat, thi will power up each of the yellow wires according to the heat setting you desire!

Cheers mate,

I managed to get an answer from R Thursby, blimmin helpful lot up there.

It turns out.
Red - Live
Yellow - Earth

Brown - Pilot

He suggested I dont touch the brown as I will blow the fuse, connect the red and yellow, he was bang on too :-)

Thanks for the reply
