Door mirror - help needed URGENTLY

Post by gifftopher »

Last night someone smashed the glass in my right hand door mirror. I am going away tomorrow for my first ever trip in the van and I can't see behind (van is lhd). Does anyone know where I can get stick on replacement glass TODAY!! in London for a Wedge or any good bodge job ideas?

I know its a long shot but I don't really want to fork out £20 for a whole new mirror if I can avoid it.

cheers

Think you will find sticky mirror glass in Halfrauds or any local motor factor...

Same thing happened to my lhd a couple of weeks ago!

Halfords said they could get one cut for £20 and it would take 2 weeks!!!!

Then I found out that German and Swedish sell them for £10 :D

German and Sweedish, £10. Sorted.

Although it was too loose and I spent the whole trip not being able to see behind anyway! Oh well, just got the other half to stick her head out of the window...

Mine was too, you have to tighten up the sprung nut on the underside. Did mine in tesco's car park while I was waiting for the RAC to recue me after my gear stick snapped!!
