Re: ctek charger to chassis not battery?
I didn't look at the model you had. http://www.ctek.com/Archive/ProductPdf/MXS%2025_EN.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; But you're right it only comes with hard-wired clips and a temp sensor. The "little" charger in my van is fine for keeping the starter ...

Re: ctek charger to chassis not battery?
I fitted my CTEK behind the driver's seat. It came with a quick connector to switch either croc clips or ring terminals. The ring terminals are on the battery terminals but I don't leave the quick connector connected as there is a bit of a drain back to the charger when its not on mains. I wired the...

Re: Best place to buy lining carpet and lining tips please
Another vote for Megavanmats. I did mine this summer. Make sure you allow plenty of time to do it. It took me about three or four days in the end. And make sure you photograph each piece of the old carpet showing how it was fixed before you remove everything. A lot of the pieces from my van over-lap...

Re: Solar panels....
I've got panels that I can connect on flying leads with two pin plugs. I've got one charge controller for leisure battery and one on the starter. Being able to move the panels around means I can position them where they're going to get the most sun. Normally I sit them on the gutter against the high...

It looks pretty bad above it. Is the pillar above the suspension mount sound?

Re: Manky wiring on old speakers..please help!
and theres a bundle of wire stuck behind an interior panel. Under the rock no roll bed there are old wires looking really tired and gooey and horrible. It sounds like it might be time to strip out all the old wiring before it shorts out and things stop working or worse still something catches fire....

Re: Solar panel
I've got a couple of panels on flying leads. Each is connected to one of the batteries through it's own charge controller. Having them on flying leads means I can put the panels where ever they are going to get the most sun. Sometimes the bike rack doubles as a panel rack. http://i1043.photobucket.c...

Re: UV water steralizer
Personally I'd look at using filtration rather than UV. I use a old Katadyn hiker one for when I'm out on the moors for a few days. They do larger ones for expedition use.

Re: Charging Battery While Connected + New Charge Point
I went one step further and I've got a Ctek charger permanently fitted in the van. It's wired to the consumer unit so when I connect the hook-up I can use it to charge the battery. There is a current drain when not charging but if the van is going to be parked up the Ctek lead has got a quick releas...
