Excellent :ok Thanks for the input, I have the relay switching from the ignition which I think should be fine, then it can only come on when the van is running. 12V Fridge Wiring - Help Please

OK, so I have sorted almost everything in the van finally.... However just now when wiring the fridge I looked at the Electrolux (RM212F) manual and it says to connect the 'supply' wire to the side of the connector that is wired to the selector switch on the front of the control panel, fine. Then it...

I could prolly write something for the wiki, but do we really need people knowing how it's done? If any legit person on this forum truly wants to know I could write something and PM it... or maybe call and explain... I think it would take a while to write.. one of those things best instructed in per...

OK so I may have answered my own question.

I have found an Auto parts supplier who has the silver flexible pre-heat hose found on most older cars, this is available in a few diameters 28 & 38mm... so I am going to try the 38mm and clamp it down to the 32mm flue pipe.. (fingers crossed) :?

I have found that I also need a length of flexible flue. This is due to the fridge unit sitting on the floor and where I need to cut the hole for the flue on the side of the van is around 170mm above the centre line of standard flue.. I have search everywhere I can think of for some flexible heat re...

Being in the construction game I know of a relatively new product that is being used for roof insulation. It comprises of about 5-7 layers of silver foil, like the JK stuff but sandwiched in between is an insulant.. This is supposed to be the best thing since sliced you know what.... However the nam...

I have a Holdsworth conversion and have just bought some good quality 4" speakers to go in the overhead locker above the rear seat. Theses will point towards the front of the van and coupled with some larger split mid/tweeter front speakers should sound good. The thing to remember is to first i...

Taking the fridge out is not a problem, but once flue is fixed onto fridge getting the height right for the external vent bit could be a problem as you can't get back there with the fridge in place (i'm not that skinny). I guess I could just measure from the floor to the top of the flue this would g...

Fitting Fridge Vents

Hi My recently purchased Holdsworth came with a 3-way fridge, however the couple who owned it had never used the fridge on gas. I now know this is probably because external vents were not installed for what reason I don't know. There are no internal or floor vents to the rear of the fridge area eith...
