Thanks Rob, but it's the cap on the expansion tank that's got the dodgy seal, not the main tank in engine compartment......... Thanks Camper, I shall concentrate on replacing that screw lid (I can see that the rubber seal/washer is knack'd) seal and getting system bled & refilled and take it from there.

First thing first have you bled the system properly????? I have a 2.2 subaru lump in the back of mine and they do get hot I fitted an overide switch to put the fan on the radiator to help cool things down you have to rememeber these vans have the engine in a box at the back with nearly 5 meters eac...
