if you have any areas of corrosion round the screen rubber ( and who dont ? ) bank on a leaky screen rubber. the rot behind will also have to be sorted . do it soon as poss as it dont get better!!

recently did this job on mine after smelling fuel . my van has a 1.9 dg w/c petrol lump and the pipes coming out of the top of the expansion tanks definitly just go to air and do not connect. rob

are you sure its the roof ? when your screen rubber perishes water will get in and run down behind the dash and into the footwell steps causing rot to the floor and steps . if this is what you are getting get a new screen rubber put in but be prepared to tackle the rot around the windscreen frame !

push rod tubes just been done on the nearside head ( passenger side ).
managed to set no 4 tappets from no 1 but not sure how to set no 3 .

just done mine with a mate. tricky but very do-able. if you have rust under the rubber you will probably have noticed water ingress in the cab on the floor and on the steps. this is due to a perished screen rubber. buy a new one and cut the old one out from the outside with a blade. if you refit a p...

had a similar problem make sure cooling system is bled of air and ensure oil breather is not kinked and blocked . worked for me. rob

this is to do with my cooling / bleeding issues .
i need a stat just in case its knackered and jk only do one for the later stat housing. mine is the metal upside down one . anyone any idea where i can get a stat and sealing ring ?????????????

and aint it just ! still got what appears to be a serious cooling issue. dont seem to be able to bleed all the air from the rad. my lump is the one with the metal thermostat housing upside down at the rear of the vehicle. when bleeding it hisses and bubles but cannot get bubble free coolant out. the...

had a problem with smoke on start up . was told to check oil breather.
dont really know where the breather is . can anyone enlighten me on where it is and how to check / clean ? cheers rob
