Re: fitting vdo oil press sender to 1.9 w/c and dash buzzer!

Josh, I had trouble with the buzzer a couple of years ago, and from memory, and some notes I made in the Haynes at the time:- There are two oil pressure operated switches. One closes its contacts at 0.3 bar or below, and puts the oil light on. The other OPENS its contacts at 1.9 bar and below and it...

Perhaps 'A' supercedes the 'obsolete' item.
Sods law says it will not fix the problem if you track one down!

Re: arggh!! temp gauge low level light!!!!

Banana, Its the fuse box in the glove box. I have the petrol version of the Haynes manual and find it useful. The manual known as Bentley is the best I believe, although I have never seen one, nor do I have any diesel experience. As TD says the light flashes when ignition key is turned on, but norma...

arggh!! temp guage low level light!!!!

Banana, I have not had any problems in this area, and I am not an electrician, but looking at the dreaded Haynes wiring diagrams, assuming it is not a bad connection somewhere, the manual shows an electronic control unit, (also called 'Switch unit for coolant shortage indicator' in another illustrat...

Re: temp lowering of van- to fit garage!!

John,
Now that you have more time, have a look/think about removing the garage door. Those up and overs are in my experience quite easy to demount, and should give you the required extra headroom. Refitting with the van inside could be a little more difficult, but worth some thought perhaps?

Re: Lowered bus

Hi busdriver, As nobody has yet replied to your question, I have had a look in Haynes, (too wet to venture out to the garage) and it looks to me as if the front bump stops are called 'Rubber Spring and Protective Sleeve' by Haynes, and are fitted over the upper part of the dampers (shock absorbers) ...

'Belle'
Just measured mine and the swiveller is about 2 inches higher than the (non swivelling) drivers. I am still looking for the girl with legs long enough!

Re: swivel seat. is there a base

Just had a quick look at my swivelling passengers seat fitted (I assume) by Autosleepers. It consists of two rectangular steel plates with a central bolt and a bearing of some kind between them for the pivot. The seat runners have been removed from their original position, (are they normally spot we...
