Thanks for all of your advice. The garage owner is a mate of mine so I'm going to go down with him and pull the unit off and have a look. If it is broken, I just hope I can get a replacement as they seem as rare as rocking horse poo!!!
Thanks again
Steve

Propex Problem

I have a 1990 Autohomes Komet with a propex heater. When bought the van I tried the heater out and it seemed to work fine. However, the other day when out tour the highways and byways of Dorset, I stopped for a cuppa. Feeling the chill getting to my aged bones I decided to put the heater on. Unfortu...

Code confusion

The little, black VIN plate on the driver's door has three numbers on it and none seem like a paint code (one could be t...

Its one of those "How long is a piece of string questions?" I am looking to replace my van and have been trying to find a 4 berth to accomodate my family. However, alot of the vans I have found are all very high mileage. Most have had engines either rebuilt or replaced but my concern is wh...

Weather dependent Oil Warning Light

On a trip to North Deven 6 months ago I drove through a deep puddle in the pouring rain. Immediately after the incident my oil warning light came on. The light stayed on for about 10 miles and slowly died away. I assumed that it was water on the contact and carried on. However, now everytime it rain...

Call yourself a teacher!!!

A while ago I posted an article asking for advice on replacing the engine in my 1.9 1986 Autohomes Kameo. Somebody kindly sent me a link to a whole article on the menagery of different engines I could fit. Unfortunately, being a overworked and underpaid teacher, I lost the link and the article I pri...
