Many thanks. Wont be getting under the engine though for a week or so tho! It will be bump started as I live on...

Re: My van is guttless
It was fine until I had a full service! The bloke used the wrong leads, the wrong plugs, his excuse being that he didnt have time to order the parts. He did and he knew I was coming and he knew i was doing a trip down south the next day. That service caused us to break down in Derby, because we had ...

Re: My van is guttless
Mmmm. Had a compression check. Hence how i found out only two cylinders firing. I think the throttle cable may be a possibility because when i bought the van the bloke had been driving around for months with a mpg of about 12mpg and that was the culprit. Sometimes it feels like the fuel isnt getting...

My van is guttless
My van is driving like a sack of old spuds. It used to be quite poky, now its struggling up hills etc. Had a tow back from Bristol to Sheffield last autumn. Initially they thought it was a fuel problem, so my system got a check right through then the RAC realised that the service before id set off w...

Back seat fittings
I want to change the back seat from push and grunt to rock and roll.
Will that still let me use my lap belts?
Will i be able to use existing wooden backing or do i have to buy the whole lot?

Two cylinders arent firing
Just benefited from the services of the RAC, my van is currently on holiday with them in Weston Super Mare and is coming back on a lorry Wednesday. Had loads of trouble getting down to sunny devon but we made it. Leads, new hoses etc and then it had a couple of days in a Paignton Garage having furth...
Road tax.
Having just read another thread that only 4 x 4s manufactured after 2001 will be screwed for higher road tax does this mean that our 1980 models will become even more desirable?
