Re: Dashboard PCB Replacement (CJH Design)

As per other thread, I may now have a dimensionally accurate rev counter backing.

I am still very busy and any vehicular tinkering is very limited to "must do" at present. Maisie goes for MOT retest on Friday which is priority getting her sorted.

Re: usb into cigarette lighter

the current drain should be minimal, millions of people have plugin usb adapters connected to cars with permenant live aux ports and don't have issues. Modern buck converters are far more efficient than old linear voltage regulators.

all good stuff to know. I am ambivilent to carb/efi i know a lot of old skools hate the new fangled stiff and a lot of newbies acn't get their head round carbs, but maybe my automotive development hit the sweet spot,  I prefer EFI when it's working as expected ;)

yeah straight onto the gutter. if your gutters are missing the trim it will be too loose so you will need that. We had a rigid pole  something that came with maisie, was allright but a bit of a "marital stessfest".   but last winter got a last season Vango on ebay for a 5th of regular reta...

Re: Adjust crankshaft endfloat or full rebuild?

I’ve been in correspondence with Mark Pluygers of Dream-Drive in the Netherlands with a view to the most cost effective way to gain a little more torque and power for my 1.9DG T25. His view, which I’m going to discuss with him next week before he goes on holiday is to upgrade to a 2.1 MV or DJ whil...

Ok, well may give it a whirl on one of my spares.

Was not sure if the ignition map would be significantly different.  A winter project.. I have welding to sort for MOT :(

out of interest . DJ injection on DG...

Just out of interest, has anyone ever tried DJ injection setup on a DG? I presume it would physically fit. but interested to know how badly it may perform.

Cheers

Re: Adjust crankshaft endfloat or full rebuild?

It's not really the cost of the parts, it's the fact there are no parts to buy. and these are not easy engines to do. You may find yourself 2K into something that is impossible to finish. If you search the forum you will find issues with parts going back many years, it's not new. If money is no obje...
