Also the cam is to the right hand side of the carb

From my little understanding of the Pierburg, that's the idle adjustment, which does alter the revs.

Had a similar sort of issue, all I did was tap the top of the dash where the lights are and everything worked, so I guessed just a loose connection!

Now the weather is getting better, when out and parked up, we like to have the sliding door open. The only issue we have is our dogs can get out.. We do keep them on leads in the van so they are hooked up so they can't escape but would like a better solution. Looked at fly screens but the dogs can p...

Just an update, have managed to fix the burners Took both off gave a good clean and hey presto all working now

I don't think you can get Fellows spares anymore unless they crop up on Ebay etc. Fellows cookers seemed to be swapped out for Spinflo 2 cookers but I don't think they are available in this country anymore but can get them in USA and New Zealand. Ok, so I have fresh air from the driver's vent and hot air as well. Air from all other vent's (including hot) just can't get anything out of the left vent on the dash (the positionable vent) been searching and it appears that in VW's infinite wisdom didn't have air coming out of this vent as it was ...

Mine says she was manufactured in Nov 1985, but registered in April 1987!
