Re: Oil Pressure Warning Light Inoperative
Curious what it turns out to be. I currently have the same problem, after having my dash out and quite a lot of work in the engine bay.

Re: To line Westfalia pop top roof or not..
I don't have experience with mildew but I did line the roof of my tintop with 4-way stretch carpet, which made a huge difference in sound, insulation, condensation and general comfort. Also the van is always outside and has had no issues with becoming moldy or smelly or anything. So would definately...

Re: Trolley or Bottle Jack
I travel with a 1,5 tonne scissorjack. It's a bit feeble but it gets one wheel off the ground. At home i've got a normal trolleyjack that I bought when I still had my mx-5. A high-lift one would definately be a lot nicer.

Re: Where's my buzzer?
I wish I had more experience with electrics so I would fully understand what you guys are talking about... But here is a photo of the blue strip at the back of my instrument cluster: https://i.imgur.com/nHARhBQ.jpeg I don't know if this thing originally came with a buzzer, just assumed all vans woul...

Where's my buzzer?
Hi, I've seen many on here complain about the "buzzer of doom". I want that too! My van doesn't have a audible clue for the warning lights, and as it hasn't been that reliable lately i'm constantly looking down nervously to see if a light is on. So I would like a buzzer. So my question is:...

Re: Sliding door runner
So the $1000 question, I have been fixing cars, suspension, clutches, gearboxes, electrics etc for a while now but never welded. As there is no one near me that wants to take on the task, I was thinking of getting a cheap stick welder off TEMU. Handheld Welder with IGBT Inverter 20 -120A Also a b...

Probably best to do both, if budget allows. Maybe there are some better second hand ones somewhere?

Re: Blower motor replacement
Thanks guys. I tried to take it out and stripped one stuck screw all the way behind the brake booster, so If I fail to drill that out I might indeed have to try it with the housing still inside of the van. With the dashboard out I can now see that half of the heater box is filled with this stuff: ht...

Re: Blower motor replacement
Hi! Another question, sorry...
Do you need to take the heater box completely out of the vehicle to open it and replace the motor/foam?

Re: Blower motor replacement
Thanks! That's what I needed to know. About the foam, how essential is that? It's quite hard to source for me, as the only seller I know is BW, and importing stuff from the UK is quite annoying since brexit iirc. I've fitted three blowers in various vans. Never used the foam kit in any. I will be o...

Blower motor replacement
Hey all, Working on a replacement of my blower motor and the old coolant lines up there. Just got the dash out after a lot off hassle with some stuck screws, but apparently the plastic box the blower motor lives in is glued shut. Does anyone know what's up with this? My haynes manual says something ...

Re: Coolant pipe inserts
Thanks all for the reactions. I'll just run the one pipe without it for now, and see if that works. Then later I can try to find a machine shop to spin it up for me at a reasonable price.
