Re: Sliding door runner
So the $1000 question, I have been fixing cars, suspension, clutches, gearboxes, electrics etc for a while now but never welded.  As there is no one near me that wants to take on the task, I was thinking of getting a cheap stick welder off TEMU.  Handheld Welder with IGBT Inverter 20 -120A Also a b...

Re: Oil leak help
Probably best to do both, if budget allows. Maybe there are some better second hand ones somewhere?

Re: Blower motor replacement
Thanks guys. I tried to take it out and stripped one stuck screw all the way behind the brake booster, so If I fail to drill that out I might indeed have to try it with the housing still inside of the van. With the dashboard out I can now see that half of the heater box is filled with this stuff: ht...

Re: Blower motor replacement
Hi! Another question, sorry...
Do you need to take the heater box completely out of the vehicle to open it and replace the motor/foam?

Re: Blower motor replacement
Thanks! That's what I needed to know. About the foam, how essential is that? It's quite hard to source for me, as the only seller I know is BW, and importing stuff from the UK is quite annoying since brexit iirc. I've fitted three blowers in various vans. Never used the foam kit in any. I will be o...

Blower motor replacement
Hey all, Working on a replacement of my blower motor and the old coolant lines up there. Just got the dash out after a lot off hassle with some stuck screws, but apparently the plastic box the blower motor lives in is glued shut. Does anyone know what's up with this? My haynes manual says something ...

Re: Coolant pipe inserts
Thanks all for the reactions. I'll just run the one pipe without it for now, and see if that works. Then later I can try to find a machine shop to spin it up for me at a reasonable price.

Coolant pipe inserts
Hey all, Currently replacing all my coolant hoses after some recent ruptures. While disconnecting the hoses from the long plastic pipes I found some metal inserts in the plastic pipes. At least the outside pipe's one is fully shot. Are these important and should I replace it, or can I just leave the...

Re: 215/80 r14 tires
Toyo Observe Van. They're winter tires, but the only ones with deep profile and M+S that I could find from a proper brand. And as I have them on the rear only I'm not too worried about braking performance.

Re: 215/80 r14 tires
Just to close up this topic: In the end I decided to go for 205/80/r14s.
Definately an improvement over stock for my usecase. A bit more quiet on the motorway (still do ~83 kph gps) and slightly less revvy on roundabouts and junctions in 2nd. Thanks all for your replies.

Different sizes are possible on std rims, but it will mess with your gearing. Larger sizes probably won't combine well with lowered springs either...

Your link doesn't work for me, maybe you can upload some pictures of the piece of plastic on both taps? (Use the black "i" above the text you type)
