Ok thanks- so the float could still move up, and I tested it by sucking and no air coming through, but might there still be a fault? Failing that, could the mechanical fuel pump be at fault? Thanks- that’s what I thought- checked the float in the carb and it’s not stuck- also checked that there is no holes in the float ( it floats in water).
