Re: Tdi and auto gearbox.. anyone done it?

Ah, that’s put that idea to bed then! I was hoping they had a swappable bell housing. I don’t think I can be arsed to mess about getting custom bits made for something that’s likely not going to be ideal anyway

Thanks for the reply

Tdi and auto gearbox.. anyone done it?

I have a Sinka with an AHU tdi lump in it, that drives very nicely, but I’m getting lazy in my old age, and fancy not having to change gear any more lol

Anyone bolted a tdi to an auto before? I’m wondering if the revs they change gear at would be too high for a low rev engine :?:

Re: Brake issues

If you can pump them up and get a good solid pedal, it sounds like you need to adjust the rear shoes. Take the drums off, make sure the self adjusting mechanism is working freely. Put the drum half on, so you can get a screwdriver on the adjuster, and adjust it until the shoes are almost touching th...

Re: Frustrating Hot Start issues

It’s common on old dubs, and is likely a worn connection in the starter switch, or the wiring itself. First step is to clean up any connections on the starter circuit that you can get to, including the battery terminals, and if that doesn’t fix it, fit a hot start relay as the above reply. It essent...

Interesting.

They don’t list the panels, but I will email them to see if they can get them from Bus ok De.

Re: Windscreen bottom corner repair panels

Oh, if your rust is relatively minor, I have repaired quite a few vans using the corner repair sections from schofields that are sold for a splitty https://www.alanhschofield.com/ourparts/prod_2425977-Windscreen-Repair-Lip-Outer-5067-211805040A.html https://www.alanhschofield.com/ourparts/prod_2425...

Re: Windscreen bottom corner repair panels

Thanks for the reply’s chaps Sadly my corners are way past the scope of the current crop of repair panels that uk stockists have at the moment  I’m sure I could make some, but those Bus ok De panels look perfect for my needs, and would save a lot of hassle! I think I will wait and see if they t...

Re: T25 - no start

It’s a long shot, but I had a similar thing once with a van that had a blockage, or rather a partial blockage in the return line to the tank. If you pull the return pipe off at the carb, and you get a pressurised squirt, that’s likely the problem. It’s also worth trying running it from a fuel can, j...
