Re: Dash Foil/PCB Options
Any suggestions for a way of sealing off the tracks again as and when I have everything working(currently the clock isn't getting power). I suspect my self adhesive slug tape will need securing!

Re: Dash Foil/PCB Options
To be fair to the guy he has been around VW's for donkeys years and provides a good service( I been to see him and buy bits on more than one occasion) - some of the prices do seem a bit all over the place . For example: "Diesel T3 T25 Rev Counter with pod - just the rev counter and housing - Yo...

Switch wiring routing
https://i.imgur.com/zjHDtIr.jpeg Couple more questions . What is the order for the right hand switches? The wires seem a little tight in which ever way I fit the blinker switch and the fog switch? Guess I could refer to the handbook? Also the steering column doesn't seem to butt up properly where ...

Re: Dash Foil/PCB Options
I have been looking at various options for repairing the foil, came across this via a discussion on the Samba https://www.serial-kombi.com/fr-FR/transporter-t3-t25-tableau-de-bord-feuille-nappe-de-circuits-imprimes-de-bloc-compteur-et-instruments-de-bord-1600cc-diesel-1/1981-7/1984-livree-avec-noti...

Re: Dash Foil/PCB Options
Ignoring them for now - what is going on with the two white wires? The two tracks at the bottom of them appear to be shorted. Frankly it looks a mess at present, too much solder and not enough flux on clean copper. I wouldn't use single core wire if it isn't secured, in a vehicle it will vibrate an...

Re: Doka - work manuals/guides
I think there's a lot of similarities. But when I looked through there wasn't anything on the Doka Rear seat/doors. The electrics section didn't show the battery in the engine bay, so I imagine a few of the junction boxes and fuse locations may attdiffer. I'm not that worried but wondered if there ...

Re: Swedish Syncro Doka - Fogs and Washer Pump
I have got the bulletin - a more general point is how I can access the rear of the fusebox to check the wiring as its so tight - I can't really see what's plugged where? Disconnect battery earth then you can safely unscrew the screw on the bottom of the relay/fuseboard and lift it up and off the ...

Re: Doka - work manuals/guides
I've just received through the post the Bentley manual (I see why the postage was high now!) but after a quick glance through, it doesn't seem to cover the Doka. Are there other manuals or guides that cover the commercial vehicles? Most of the information is still relevant but there's bound to be a...

Re: Swedish Syncro Doka - Fogs and Washer Pump
Simplest way is to swap the bulb holders over and run a wire from the left to the right , I wonder if the headlight washers only work When the headlights are on Black n red is usually brake light Have you got a link to the wiring diagram, im Currently refitting my dash and going through the wiring ...

Re: Dash Foil/PCB Options
Just seen this: https://thepihut.com/products/copper-foil-tape-with-conductive-adhesive-6mm-x-15-meter-roll Cheers Toby - I have just ordered something similar from Amazon - 100m for £6 next day(2 rolls). They sell it as slug tape, but I have made sure they state the adhesive is conductive. Will le...

Re: Opening 1/4 light frames
you could delete the opening 1/4 light but that would mean changing the seal, glass and bar, but they are more readily available and cheaper - they tend to leak air and water less too, once fitted nothing to go wrong. If you have a Caravelle with the 'chrome' trim it might be less of an option Mick...
