Any suggestions for a way of sealing off the tracks again as and when I have everything working(currently the clock isn't getting power). I suspect my self adhesive slug tape will need securing!

you could delete the opening 1/4 light but that would mean changing the seal, glass and bar, but they are more readily available and cheaper - they tend to leak air and water less too, once fitted nothing to go wrong. Thanks Rob - the van came with a replacement Bar but the frame itself has disintegrated.
