Have done a lot more poking around by the said hoses... And found that coolant appears to 'bubble' from under the flange when any pressure is applied..!! Took the flange off last night, cleaned and smeared with a bit of gasket seal... Haven't tried it yet but I guess the 250 mile trip to bustypes wi...

Just to conclude... Cut back to wiring loom earlier and found the other end of the missing wire..... All good again and working well.. Must say though, due to time I didn't change the water hose's myself, I could assume that the wire may hve been snagged and damaged accidentley by the mechanic... Ne...

I guess I've found the problem.... Please correct me if I'm wrong.... The sender is located on the rear of the head within the flange for one of the heater hoses..? It has a red/brown? wire and a blue/white wire.. The Blue/white wire returns from the sender but is hanging loose out of the loom with ...

thanks Ewen, I was sort of hoping it was like this, all the the plugs/sensors 'look' intact but knowing it was working ok before I'm sure I'll find it with a little more effort..

Thanks for that, getting the van up in the air is my biggest problem - all i have is a jack and ramps and a sloping drive.. :( ...i guess it must be quite possible to work with the one side lifted to a sensible height...?? :?:

Was wondering if any body can give us some advice... I have finally decided to 'splash out' and spend a little bit on the van..I have a full set of rubber hoses and stainless steel pipes from Brickwerks..!!...(must say - all the bits supplied look excellent quality.. :D ) I don't really see swapping...

Thanks Russel, Would it be that this units faulty or out of spec. or could it be due to something else at fault..?? I've noticed this unit did not exist on the AAZ - can it be blocked off..?? - I was thinking that some day that I should get the AAZ inlet manifold reworked to fit the JX turbo etc set...

Hope someone can help with a bit of advice... I've been searching a few posts and agree it seems a good idea to fit an external oil cooler to my AAZ, for simplicity I am sure I'll go for the Brickwerks kit.
