This is the pipe that pulled out - the one with the cable tie! This was taken before the oil spayed everywhere!!!

Anyone know what it does? And can they tell me why it comes out so easily?

unscheduled oil change! How do you clean an engine?

Went to a party in Sheffield last night. Took the van so that I could soak up some vino and not have to drive back :trunk Half way there the brakes became really hard to press and the buzzer of doom flickered on and off. Smoke seemed to be coming from the back so pulled over (eventually  ). S...

I think this is the one I got from JK http://shop.justkampers.com/product_info.php/cPath/2_1024_1153/products_id/2750 I bought more grease as well (see wiki). It's a messy job but really satisfying once done. Strip them down (2 on either side of your van!) clean them, check them for wear, replace if...

Needed to sort the rust out under them before I paint it (see paint your self subject page 34!) Will be fitting new seals after...

Hey KarlT, are you repainting your van with the same colour? If so have you found one that matches? This is the same colour as ours was originally - later painted with something close to RAL3000 (AKA postman pat red). Just got a spray can of RAL3000 as it looked good on the RAL chart only to find it...

Sounds like you have the meter set to AC. Certainly if it spikes when you apply the current and ...
