LPG works out at 10p a mile for me, pop top 19. DG, that is over several thousand miles with all sorts of driving, town, country, motorway runs averaged out.. Could be that you have a small leak in the heater circuit, you wouldn't notice it in the summer with the heater being off, but now in the winter when you drive around with the heater on you might loos some coolant from that circuit. Might show up as some fluid on the spare wheel carrier.

You could also file a flat edge top and bottom of the bolt head and then use a spanner to undo them, worked a treat for me.
