Battery light on at higher revs?
Hey guys. My 1991 1.9D (1Y engine) battery light is flickering on and off (though more on than off) when the engine is at higher revs. My voltmeter reads a steady 13.8v but this drops to 13.1v when at higher revs. Could this be the voltage regulator? Hoping so but wanted to seek some advice before t...

Wheel bearings
Hey guys. I have a question regarding wheel bearings.. Should there be any play in the rear bearings when checking with the wheel on and what should the tightness of the nuts be? Also should there be any play in the fronts when checking the wheel on? Thanks for all your help as always!

Gearbox Failure (I'm in Slovenia on a road trip) Please help
HI guys, I'm desperately looking for some help. I'm away in the van on the start of a 3 month road trip. Got to Slovenia and heard some weird noises in the gearbox, took out the bottom drain which has loads of needle rollers from a bearing attached to it (I only changed the oil 1000 miles ago for 75...

Re: Temp gauge at three quarters after new stat, pump and coolan
Thanks again for the post. OK. Point taken, sounds absolutely right too given where the pump is located. My next step I think is going to be to acquire another new temperature sensor from somewhere. I was thinking Brickwerks for a decent quality sensor? Would they be likely to have an OE spec one do...

Re: Temp gauge at three quarters after new stat, pump and coolan
Thanks for your comments and advice. I fitted a new Topran brand temp sensor before doing all the other work and it read at half way all the time, stat opened and stayed at half.. fan kicked in etc etc... I am wondering if it is a bleeding issue... I will have to find this 'Baxter's' bleeding method...

Second Water Pump
Hey, I am new to the forum, but have found tons of very useful info to guide me on my first T25 journey. I've had T2's and T4's before and am very excited to own my first T25 :D :D My question is regarding the second water pump (i.e. the electric water pump). I have a 1990 van with a 1.9 diesel (1y)...
