I replaced mine last year van is an 89 think it was original easy job and did not need to disturb the radiator pipes it was getting noisey I got mine from Brickwerks

Can anyone recomend a leisure Battery for under seat fitment if there is one low enough or is it best just to get a standard battery its a standard westy with no mods so the battery only really works the sink tap and fridge ignitor and night heater

update got some better quality pipe from Brickwerks nice tight fit non braded stuff problem solved

Same issue I am having I suspect it’s poor quality pipe going to get some better quality and try that

Hi all anyone had any issues getting decent quality diesel leak of pipes recently changed mine as old ones perished think it was Topran pipe from JK one run out and they are leaking again any recomendations for better quality hose would be appreciated 
 

Sounds like the clutch is slipping time for a new clutch I wouldnt be riding the clutch just now or you will burn it out completely .

Just replaced all mine dash was out for new heater motor so spent a bit of time chaging a few bits while dash out new wiper motor and lubed linkages etc tidied up any suspect conectors earth crowns and a thorough clean must be a pain changing those hoses with the dash in

http://www.vwcampercurtains.co.uk/ not sure if you can get origional curtains for an autosleeper but easy to make or buy curtains you can easily add poppers/press studs to any curtain. popper kits available on ebay got these guys to make a set for a westy great quality and fit

Just fitted one to my petrol van as you say just plumb in using the tank that comes with the kit so far so good with mine lots of info on youtube and mostly positive  :ok

Thanks for the reply I will need to have a look all I know its petrol with digital controller timer on the dash and also an on of switch in the rear off the van with manual dial for temperature control the heater is under the van in a metal box .
