That’s £50 per window including rail, seems pretty reasonable to me

Re: Campervan culture blackout westy curtains

I wonder if they are van x curtains I've been interested in these for a while. They seem to be a good product, but I haven't found anyone who has actually used them yet.    I had Van-x blackout curtains in my T5 donkey years ago - brilliant Van-x don't have a T3 option in the black out curtains - s...

Re: Tie rod/ tracking rod nut movement

Get a couple of nuts, wind them on the end and lock the together to hold the rod steady.

wire brush the thread behind, soak soak soak nut in plus gas, hold it still on something and give it a good clumpin on the flat of the nut with a mallet.

Earlier Sprinter/vw crafter jacks are ok, there’s a few variants I believe with different capacities but all have the shaped saddle. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225375810335?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=KTjZjQucTcO&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=hIkDbbxUSGq&var=&wi...

Re: Best Jacking Choice. Non VW

Bottle jacks are intuitive to use and are small so easy to stow - but they need to be high lift capacity Hi-lift jacks are a brilliant bit of kit and versatile in other recovery situations - but they are big, bulky and heavy - they are also quickly become bone breakers or skull crackers if you don't...

The vent is for cooling - it draws air up away from the engine is how i see it. Mine has rotted through also as th ewater finds its way in and sits there. I'll repair the damage and modify it to include a few drain holes to let the water out again. VW had some funny ideas when it comes to cars and w...

I think you'll be lucky that any matt touch up would be invisible after so long - black board paint tends to start of with a sheen that fades with use - but I confess I've never used it for exterior applications before let alone on a car

As Aidan said, take the comfy one and drive it using your lightest shoes.

T3 will be the most thirsty but they are not crazy bad. I get around 30 from my 1z Syncro.
Our T4 2.5tdi used to give us low 40s when cruising at 61mph

Buy the best you can afford, I'd also recommend having the fitter supply the tyres.
Maxxi and continental are very decent alternatives to costly major brands.
