Re: Starting problems

Mine does cut out sometimes for no reason at all then will be absolutely fine. Does sound like fuel from what advice you keep giving. Can anyone point me in the right direction of we're to buy from. What to buy and how to install as I'm no mechanic. I will try the fuel in the carb at the weekend. As...

I did give it a squirt with easy start but still nothing, in the past I have changed the push rod and fuel pump. i think my first thing to try is to pour a bit of fuel down the carb. Should I do this b...

Re: Starting problems

Battery and starter motor turns over fine it happens in normal weather to. Just takes some firing up but once she fires and warms up everything is good. I had my Piersburg carb refurbished last year. Could it be leads, dizzy cap, spark plugs ?

Starting problems

Hi everyone, I seem to be getting problems starting my 1985 1.9 petrol engine when it's not been used for over 5 days plus. Once she starts everything is fine. She isn't getting used enough and noticed this steadily getting worse over time. Is it because I don't use her enough. Fuel is getting to th...

The bolt I mean is one of three that holds down the plastic housing above it. So should I fit the spare because of not getting a perfect tighten down seal or sti...

Re: Rebuild

Just a bit more info for you. She always starts fine and does drive very well. Struggles a wee bit up hill. And only twice in a year it has stalled then couldn't start her up. It was like there was no fuel getting in. Only way I got he started was to spray some quick start down the carb until after ...
